I always love the ambience of this place. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. My favorite dish is the chicken don peppe - it's breaded chicken cutlet with bruschetta on top .. my mouth is watering just thinking about it. The best part is not just chicken but steak doesn't even need a knife to cut it .. it will cut with your fork like butter every time! Although I don't eat them due to seafood allergies, my family always talks about how incredible the baked clams are & have to get them every time we go. The red sangria is my go-to drink there. Truly a staple of South Ozone Park!

Old school restaurant - yes they still exist! Delicious family style food. Bring your appetite. For appetizers, we decided eggplant rollatini, baked clams, and a simple salad. For the main course we decided on Veal parmigiana and Chicken Scarpariello . Our pasta choice was linguine with clam sauce and spaghetti with meat sauce. For vegetable, broccoli rabe . We chose the variety so that we could each indulge in all different dishes. I would have to say of everything that we tried. The baked clams and broccoli rabe were actually the best. The other food was flavorful and hardy. For desserts, we tried a pistachio Tartufo, Peach sorbet (actually served in a real frozen peach). We also had some nice decaffeinated cappuccinos. The service was spectacular and well worth trying this place to eat for a large group. Keep in mind it is cash only and street parking can be a little bit challenging so plan on arriving a little early.

Definitely best for a large group of people due to price, be ready to spend $$$. Portions were family style and came plentiful. We had muscles in white wine sauce for app which were fresh and flavorful. Spaghetti with garlic and oil and the porterhouse steak. Everything was cooked really well and seasoned deliciously. Our server was attentive and served us each. Will come back and definitely recommend if you're looking to splurge on a meal

Still the best family style Italian restaurant in New York. Still cash only. There is one huge menu at the back of the restaurant. Make sure to bring your glasses if you're near sighted! I think it's the same menu from ten years ago. Be sure to ask about specials. Limited options for beer and wine. There's house red, house white, and some macro beers like Peroni. Food wise, we started with the baked clams. They're served in a super savory, buttery white wine garlic sauce. Clams were meaty. Made sure to soak up the sauce with the bread. Next we had the mussels. Similar to the clams, they were served in a buttery garlic sauce. Probably best to avoid your cardiologist for a couple weeks to allow your butter levels to return your normal. Nevertheless, we made sure to order another basket of bread and soak up as much of the sauce as possible. The next dish is one of my favorites: the shrimp Luciano. Shrimp over linguine with mixed and topped with caramelized onions in butter. I'm a big fan of caramelized onions and butter, so this one is perfect for me. I highly recommend it! For the final dish, we had the veal Don Pepe. A veal cutlet pounded razor thin. Breaded, fried, and topped with bruschetta. A great change of pace to all the buttery dishes that preceded it. Service is very engaging. You certainly get that south Queens / southern Brooklyn charm. Lots of wittiness. As mentioned earlier, don't forget that it's cash only!

My friend and I went here Thursday just after 7pm and it was packed! There were prob 3 empty tables when we arrived so we got lucky and didn't have to wait. Let's keep this simple and to the point. This is a CASH ONLY, old school Italian, family style, great food, and dood service spot. It's definitely loud/bustling in here but we still managed to hear each other fine. The is one menu posted on the wall. I presume everyone here are pretty much regulars because our waiter came to take our order as if he expected we knew what they had/what we wanted. We pulled up the menu on Yelp! I didn't see any drink/cocktail menu but we saw they had beers and wine so we ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio ($30 I believe). Waiter didn't disclose the prices for anything so to avoid surprises, ask if you wanna be safe; we found out the prices of everything on the check (which is an old school, handwritten receipt. I don't recall the prices for everything but our final bill was $312; not too bad I think! The lobster tail fra diavolo was MP and I think it was $130 (pasta not included). The bread to start was cold and blah! We ordered the mozzarella and tomatoes with peppers, stuffed mushrooms, baked clams, linguini with white clam sauce, and the lobster tail fra diavolo. We wanted the stuffed artichoke and whole lobster fra diavolo but they didn't have either. I loved the fact that everything is made fresh to order and our waiter paced each item and brought them out hot and fresh as we were finishing what we had on the table. The food is great and so filling! By the time the fra diavolo came out we were STUFFED so we took it to go. We definitely plan to go back to try some other menu items!

***CASH ONLY ***there's an atm at key food next door. The guys are great, they get the job done. Tuesday night the place was packed. Bathrooms need a redo, then again the whole place could use some sprucing up. Stuffed Artichoke wasn't as meaty as I would have liked but they're my fave so I didn't mind. The Linguini w/White Clam sauce was excellent. Perfect bite to the linguini. Their Eggplant Parm is prolly the best I've ever had. They throw it in the salamander to char the edges and they don't bread or fry the eggplant. The richness of the steak pizzaioli is truly special, but it should be for the price. Cannoli was just ok. No reservations.
